Determining If You Need An Add-on Finish:

All of our handrails and assembled stair railings (excluding most stainless steel handrails) come with a high-quality, Matte Black finish. It is our most popular finish, and just as high-quality as other finishes offered on this page. So if you want a handrail in Matte Black, you do not need to buy this add-on finish.

With that said, many of our customers enjoy having the ability to purchase more unique finishes for some of their projects. If you are one of those people, these Add-on finishes are for you.

How It Works / How to Buy:

1. Be sure to add your desired handrail to your cart. You can do this before or after you select a custom finish.
2. On this page, select the desired custom finish you want and add it to your cart.
3. Complete checkout.

Highly Durable: PowderCoat or Custom Paint Options

Each finish is sealed with a clear top coat, providing an extra layer of protection against rust and paint deterioration.

Exclusively at Optimum Works:
Truly unique, one-of-a-kind finishes for your handrail and brackets. These custom paint colors are not available anywhere else. They are made in-house by our artisan painter.

All orders are made to order just for you. Turnaround time to make and ship products varies by product type and order volume. 

Expedited turnaround time available at checkout for an additional cost (~2x faster turnaround time).

Expedited Turnaround Time Cost:

• Orders $600 to $1,999.99 = $300
• Orders $2,000 and up = $400

Orders are shipped FedEx ground and take 3-4 business days to arrive.

In-store pickup

You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at 10537 San Fernando Rd. Pacoima, CA 91331. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pickup within 5 to 7 business days. We will send you an email when your order is ready, along with instructions. 

Our in-store pickup hours are 9 AM - 5 PM Monday-Friday. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us with a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 24 hours for the tracking information to become available. 

If you haven’t received your order within 14 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at optimumworksinc@gmail.com with your name and order number, and we will get back to you within 24 hours.

Refunds, returns, and exchanges

We accept returns up to 3 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund you 70% of the order price. 

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at info@optimumrails.com with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

All handrails are custom-made to your specifications. Due to the nature of our products, there is a 30% restocking fee plus return shipping costs. 

To start a return, you can contact us at info@optimumrails.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so we can get you the correct order. 

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
